Q: Is Flight Simulator X the same as Flight Simulator 10 or FS2006?
A: The X is the Roman number 10, so yes you could call it Flight Simulator 10 (FS2004 was also known as FS9). FS2006 was expected by some to be the logical follow-up name after FS98, FS2000, FS2002 and FS2004, but instead Microsoft chose the name FSX or FS10 to stress and celebrate the unique 10th version of this fantastic product.
